The Children's Ministry, led by Kristina Morse, partners with parents in the discipleship of their kids, helping them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. While at SSBC, your kids will study God’s Word and learn the following concepts on their age-appropriate level: God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, Creation, Family, Self, the Church, the Community & World, and Salvation.
Children's Ministry Essentials:
- Heart Transforming, not behavior modifying
Kingdom Expanding, not ministry building
- Culture Shaping, not culture shaped
SUNDAYS - 9:30 a.m.
Children's small groups begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Children are in groups according to their grade in school. During their small group time, kids will study a story from the Bible, participate in some activities relating to the lesson, crafts, and fellowship with other children in their group.
At 10:20 a.m., all children (Kindergarten – 5th Grade) and their leaders will transition to large group. During this time, the children will watch a video that reviews their Bible lesson, play silly games, worship, and spend time in prayer.
Curriculum – Gospel Project for Kids
The Gospel Project for Kids immerses children in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project for Kids, children will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.
