Welcome

Children's ministry at Southside exists to partner with parents, the community, and the Church

to reach and disciple children by using fun-filled, relevant Biblical application

to lead children to become fully intergraded and devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

  • SOUTHSIDE'S GOAL

is for children to be able to answer these questions at each stage of their spiritual and cognitive development.

    • Who is God?
    • What is sin?
    • Why did Jesus come?
    • What is the Bible?
    • What is the Church?
    • Now what?
  • SAFETY AND SECURITY

The safety and security of your child is our highest priority. All volunteers and staff are trained and background checked. When you check-in, you will receive a tag for your child and a corresponding tag for you. You will need to show your tag to your child's leaders before they will be released to you.

  • List Item

All Southside Kids small groups use The Gospel Project Curriculum (click here for more details). The Gospel Project for Kids immerses children in the Gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the Gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the Gospel. Through The Gospel Project for Kids, children will understand that the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.

SUNDAYS

9:30 a.m. | Age specific children's small groups study a story from the Bible, do age appropriate activities and crafts relating to the lesson, and fellowship with other children in their group. At 10:20 a.m., children transition to large group in Discovery Cove. This time utilizes videos, games, worship, and prayer to reinforce the small group lesson. Parents will pick their children up from Discovery Cove.

11:00 a.m. | On November 3, we will begin offering KidWorship for children as a pilot program. We love families to worship together, so this is just an option. You are more than welcome and even encouraged, if it is your desire, to keep your children in "adult" worship with you.

KidWorship will give children an opportunity to worship God in a manner that is developmentally appropriate and allows them to draw closer to Christ. KidWorship will encompass all the elements of "adult" worship, including prayer, songs, scripture, and a message. We will add in a few games and lots of energy to truly engage the children with the Gospel message.
