Our desire at Southside is to be a church that is continually shaped by God’s Word as we follow Jesus, making disciples as individuals and as a church. Below are several opportunities to help with that journey -- to fuel it and to help keep the main thing, the main thing.

From our weekly worship services to small group meetings, and from special events to personal devotional material, we will do everything we can to help you become, and lead others to become, fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

    Sunday, February 18, 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday, February 21, 6:30 p.m.

As we continue our Journey to Discipleship in 2018, we invite you to join us for a special conference on spiritual growth. We will take an in-depth look at some of the best practices for establishing, maintaining, and growing a vibrant walk with Jesus through regular personal disciplines.

Our conference leader will be Dr. Mark Searby. Dr. Searby was born in Albion, Illinois, and completed his college and seminary education at Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, Illinois. He completed the Doctor of Ministry degree at the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Illinois. After serving over 20 years in pastoral ministry, he taught at Lincoln Christian Seminary for 10 years. He also served as Vice President for Lincoln Christian University for four years. He has recently retired as the director of Doctor of Ministry Studies at the Beeson Divinity School of Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama. Searby is passionate about developing "leaders who last" through his work at Beeson and his work with Peacewood Consulting Services.

    Sundays, 11:00 a.m.

Join us in worship each Sunday in 2018 for a journey through the book of Acts. This ancient text is an incredible record of how the Holy Spirit worked through Jesus' earliest disciples to launch the church. Through this series we will discover how the Holy Spirit is still empowering His church to change the world.

Groups come in all shapes and sizes -- married couples, singles, men, women, kids, no kids, workplace, under 20, over 40 -- the list goes on. No matter where you are in life, there’s a group for you.

Ready to dive in? Find a group that fits.

    Wednesdays, January 10 - February 14, 6:30 p.m.

Jesus had an incredible prayer life. It was unlike the prayer life of the religious leaders of that day. Jesus’ prayers were personal and powerful. He prayed as if He were talking to His own Father rather than to some distant unknowable god. And when He prayed, things happened -- amazing things -- miraculous things. As the disciples came to understand the power and impact of Jesus’ prayer life, they asked Him to teach them how to pray. Join us each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., for a six-week series based on the prayer template Jesus gave them and us.

first Tuesday of every month, 7:00 p.m.

Join us on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., for a special time of corporate prayer. These guided prayer meetings last one hour and are held in the prayer chapel.

    Tuesday and Wednesday,

    March 6-7, June 5-6, September 4-5, December 4-5

Join us each quarter for a Day of Prayer and Fasting. Each 24-hour period will begin on a Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m., with Call to Prayer, and end with dinner on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m., in the Maguire Fellowship Center. The prayer chapel will be open for the entire 24 hours and individuals, families, and small groups are encouraged to sign up for a one-hour time slot.

November 9-12 with Grace Alive in Orlando, Florida

November 8-12 with Hamilton Fellowship in Toronto, Canada

These missional excursions are high impact, intensive weekends, designed to bless our church plant partners in Orlando and Toronto for the spreading of the Gospel. We become the hands and feet of a newly birthed church through prayer walking, outreach, teardown/setup, and service projects.

    Kick-Off Party, Sunday, April 22, 12:30 p.m.

This is a concerted effort to combine a group of four couples/singles together for fellowship over a period of four months to form relationships among Southsiders. The hope is to establish lasting friendships through a planned fellowship once a month.
